Andriy Pomazanov, the UIF expert on the reform of the law-enforcement authorities, judicial bodies and judicial branch
Andriy is a Ukrainian politician, lawyer, human rights activist, people’s deputy of 8th convocation.
He obtained higher legal education at the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law Academy of Ukraine (now – Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University).
Due to the nature of his professional activity in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, he worked in the Committee on Legal Policy and Justice where he headed the Subcommittee on advocacy and regulation of legal assistance to citizens.
The state has awarded him the title “Honored lawyer of Ukraine”, and the Ukrainian national bar association has awarded the order “Distinguished Lawyer of Ukraine”.
He holds a PhD in law.
His research interests are:
- reforming law-enforcement authorities, judicial authorities, as well as ensuring the right of everyone to a fair trial
- analysis of European legislation, as well as the judicial practice of EU countries.
- studying the practice of the European Court of Human Rights to prevent further gross violations of the rights of citizens, as well as the introduction of the main comments to the Ukrainian legislation.
